How To Apply False Eyelashes

KOL Lashes will add length and fullness to your natural lashes. If you want to change your look – whether subtly or dramatically, this is the perfect way to do it. Follow our simple guide on how to apply false eyelashes.

1. Prepare Your Natural Eyelashes

Some people prefer to add mascara to their fake lashes after they are in place. There is no right or wrong way, however, applying mascara beforehand will make your falsies last longer.

Not only will it create a more natural look, it also gives them something to adhere to.

Apply your makeup as normal, including eyeshadow, mascara and liquid eyeliner, if you so wish.

Apply mascara to both your  upper and lower eyelashes, as usual.

If you like to wear thin liquid eyeliner, apply a slightly thicker line than normal to cover any gaps between the false eyelash and your natural eye line.

2. Carefully Remove Your KOL False Lashes From Tray

Using your eyelash applicator or your fingertips, carefully remove an eyelash strip from the plastic tray pulling from the band and not the hairs.

Slowly work from the outer corners along the length of the band.

Repeat the same process for the second eyelash strip.

3. Measure And Trim False Lashes

Your KOL false eyelashes are likely to be too long for your eyes. To get it down to the right size, measure it against your natural lash line by aligning the lash strip against your eye to see whether it is too long.

Take note of how how much of the strip hangs over the edge of your eye then remove the false eyelash  away from your eye.

If the length of the hairs are too long, trim them to the desired length.

Use a pair of cosmetic scissors to cut off the extra length of the lash strip, from the outermost end.

Remember, tapered lashes that have the longest lashes hairs at this point of the lash.

Do not cut in a blunt straight line. Slightly taper them for a natural look. The lashes should be shorter in the innermost edge of your eyes, longer in the centre and longest on the outside corner of your eyes. Repeat for the second false eyelash.

4. Apply False Eyelashes

Apply a thin layer of eyelash glue across the band of the eyelash strip. Allow the glue to dry for about 30 seconds until it is tacky.

Using your eyelash applicator or fingertips, place the band at the centre of your lash line.

When  you are happy with its placement, start pressing down the false eyelash working outwards.

Press the strips against your natural eyelash line for approximately 10 seconds until they feel secure.

5. The Final Touches

Once the glue has dried, squeeze the false and natural lashes together to fuse them together. Touch up with liquid eyeliner to mask any gaps. Now you know how to apply KOL Lashes!
